We are looking for a Marketing & Business Development Intern who wants to be part of an agile growing beauty company. The successful candidate will have the fantastic opportunity to be exposed to hands ON Sales-Business Development projects as well as Marketing projects. At the end of the mission, there might be a permanent job opportunity within Saphired at our headquarter in New York; as this mission is clearly seen as a “Talent Pool” feeder.

Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Sales & Marketing Directors; the intern will be focusing onto:  Identify new Indie brands, Fashion brands and Retailers in wish to develop their own perfume, skincare or make-up line Research and master prospects to secure an excellent customer service.
Support Saphired sales agenda focusing onto converting leads into successful actual projects to grow the Business.
Project coordination: Based on the customer brief, be able to work with our product development team to match the customer request with all aspects (design, budget, planning)
Support the sales team members on their respective missions to secure a 360 overview of the sales department’s respective responsibilities.
Pricing strategy: Perform control checks on Pricing.
Marketing: Customer insights Management: Collect and share market and customer insights to secure the best client experience and relationship ever

Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills to secure an excellent customer service. A passion for Beauty Attention to details and accuracy Focused and goal-oriented Fluent in English

Packaging Product Developer, Full Time

Work with our internal teams and customers to define and manufacture product(s). Responsible to conceptualize, develop and source components to meet customers’ requirements including:

Innovation and creativity
Safety: from a manufacturing and consumer point of view
Manufacturing: analyze feasibility, cost and efficiency from suppliers
Functionality: package testing and compatibility
Aesthetic standards: shapes, colors and quality levels related to the brand 

Mission:

Collaborate with the creative and design team to insure a proper Product Development Request
Collaborate with suppliers to determine feasibility of new packaging related to functionality, aesthetics, compatibility and quality
Provide feasible packaging component, preliminary timing for tooling, and define due dates of each     component
Provide a complete Packaging Definition with specifications, drawings, color specifications, and models of the concept for execution by manufacturers
Define Bill of Material and production stages in collaboration with factory and management
Provide Color Target and Artwork Proposals to packaging components suppliers
Develop color matches and range boards
Review testing and line test results with factory
Review production quality standard finished goods
Seek new exclusive ideas and innovations from suppliers  

Educational Requirements:
Engineering Degree 

Experience Requirements:
Knowledge of Engineering/Packaging Development, Manufacturing /QC Management
Working knowledge of CAD software
5 years minimum in Product Development and Quality Control
Fluent in English
Fluent in Chinese preferred
